Also, contained in the book are short stories that are set during the events of the previous books of the Blue Bloods series but old from a different characters point of view, or even just filling in the gaps. However, it makes you feel like a member of a club, getting inside information about the next books. I do feel this does encroach on Twilight’s ground a bit, and was disappointed that she chose to take that route with the narrative. Currently, Melissa de la Cruz is writing a spin off book about werewolves. After these comes a short story, or extract referring to the characters just mentioned. Throughout the book there are character profiles for everyone who has appeared over the series, with known past lives, a reminder of what the character has done and what has happened to them throughout the series so far. When I was sent this book I thought it was going to be the next in the series. It’s original and clever, which means it stands out from the rest. I love the Blue Bloods series it’s one of the best vampire series around for teenagers. Summary: A great accompaniment and addition to the fantastic Blue Bloods teen vampire series.
